The week in review: Texas style

The week in review: Texas style
They say everything is bigger in Texas. As we’ve seen in the last few days, even their problems are bigger. You might even say they’re sized Texas-style. The entire country has been racked with weather-related issues since last Sunday. We’ve seen record amounts of cold, snow, and ice. It’s February…the heart of the winter. Most... Read more »

There can be no unity until there is retribution

There can be no unity until there is retribution
Insurrection– A violent uprising against an authority or government: What occurred at the Capitol building last Wednesday was not an attempted insurrection. It fit the definition of the word exactly. There needs to be consequences and punishment for those who played a role…any role…in the insurrection against our country. Unity–A condition of harmony. The state of being united... Read more »

Would we really miss Texas if they actually seceded from the United States

Would we really miss Texas if they actually seceded from the United States
Texas is back! At least that’s what we’ve heard every fall for the last decade or so. Of course, that’s what their state university’s college football team has been saying. The state itself and some of its residents, well not quite as much. They’re talking about leaving. It started early last week. Texas Attorney General... Read more »

The week in review: May 8-14

We start with that pompous ass Ted Cruz. The Senate brought former assistant Attorney General Sally Yates in to talk and question her about Russia. As usual, Teddy tries to be the smartest man in the room by trying to school her on a question about the President's immigration ban executive order, which her refusal to support led to her firing. As you see in this clip, the only one getting schooled was Ted. As usual. He then pouted and walked out of the meeting like a baby. As bad as the Trump administration is, I'm still glad Ted Cruz isn't our POTUS
Another week has come to an end and OMFG it’s been a good one. You know there are things to talk about when Ted Cruz makes the list not once but two times!! Let’s look at the good, the bad and the ugly because it’s time for another edition of The week in review. That’s... Read more »

I tried to take a mental health day and failed

I tried to take a mental health day and failed
There are times when you need a break from the news and your life. Tuesday was one of those days. I tried…I really tried. Really! Monday was a big day. It was my daughter’s birthday. Twenty-five years old is a milestone. Quarter of a century..OY. We went out for lunch and when it was over... Read more »

The Donald J. Trump Republican Convention Has Been Punk'd

The Donald J. Trump Republican Convention Has Been Punk'd
The year is 2003. MTV has this new show starring Ashton Kutcher. You guys know him from That 70’s Show. It’s basically an April Fools trick thing. You find a celebrity, play a gag on him or her, get them to fall for it, and when they’re invested in it, here comes Ashton with the... Read more »

    Howard Moore

My so called friends think it's time to edit this section. After four years, they may be right, but don't tell them that. I'll deny it until they die! I can't believe I've been writing this blog for four years. It started as a health/wellness thing and over the years has morphed to include so many things that I don't know how to describe it anymore. I really thought this was going to be the final year of the blog but then Donald Trump came along. It looks like we're good for four more years..God help us all! Oh yeah...the biographical stuff. I'm not 60 anymore. The rest you can read about in the blog.
