Six years of being grateful for a successful cancer surgery

April 15, 2015. Six years ago today, I was at a hospital getting ready to undergo surgery for Melanoma. It was my first surgical procedure of any kind and although I talked a big game at that time, I admit to being more than a little worried. It wasn’t so much about the cancer because... Read more »

Are we really ready to get back to normal?

I’ve got to admit it’s getting better A little better all the time (it can’t get no worse)I have to admit it’s getting better. It does look like the world is getting better. Hospitalizations and deaths due to the virus are down. Vaccinations are moving forward at a decent pace. In the next couple of... Read more »

On this Valentine's Day cancerversary, it's time to change the win or lose language of cancer

On this Valentine's Day cancerversary, it's time to change the win or lose language of cancer
Valentine’s Day 2015. As I was towel drying my body after a shower, I caught a peek of my back in the mirror. I noticed this huge mark that I hadn’t seen before. It was an odd-shaped mole. It looked exactly like the one in the above photo. Because I had been doing some research... Read more »

Why are there so many stupid drug commercials?

Why are there so many stupid drug commercials?
Oh…Oh…Oh…Ozempic! Did you sing the above words as you read them? Of course, you did. You know the song and you know the commercial which you see multiple times every day. Howard Moore

My so called friends think it's time to edit this section. After four years, they may be right, but don't tell them that. I'll deny it until they die! I can't believe I've been writing this blog for four years. It started as a health/wellness thing and over the years has morphed to include so many things that I don't know how to describe it anymore. I really thought this was going to be the final year of the blog but then Donald Trump came along. It looks like we're good for four more years..God help us all! Oh yeah...the biographical stuff. I'm not 60 anymore. The rest you can read about in the blog.
