The week in review: The Blue Wave

The Democrats took over the majority on the House of Representatives last Tuesday. They gained more than thirty seats. We'll see if they use this advantage to govern or push to their agenda...meaning impeachment. It could go either way.
Another week. Another bizarre week in Washington. They even took the strange to other parts of the country and overseas, Here’s a quick look at the cray cray: Type your email address in the box and click the “create subscription” button. The week in review: Summer is over

How big a baby do you have to be to sit with your arms folded like this? You don't need a body language expert to figure this one out!
Goodbye to August. Hello September. Summer is ending. Fall is right around the corner. Let’s take a look at some of the craziness that ended August: That’s it for another week. Enjoy the three day weekend. Hey Matt Kaminski, do you have any Labor Day songs? HA!! Related Post: Seven songs for Labor Day

The week in review: Stranger than fiction

A couple of senior citizens, in Germany, ditched their nursing home to attend a heavy metal rock festival. They were found a few hours later...dazed and confused....but are okay. Hmmmm....that could be me in twenty years. Who am I kidding...it's me now

The week in review: Tronc, Trumps and Tunes

The week started with the New York Daily News laying off half of their journalists. Just more cuts by TRONC, which bought the paper a year ago. Do you think the $15 million they paid to Michael Ferro in "consulting fees" would have saved these jobs? Disgusting!
It’s been awhile since there’s been a Week in Review, but the last few days have been special. Journalists are under attack, Trumps are acting up, and a few good music stories. Let’s take a look.   Related Post: Foo Fighters SNL medley is the greatest rock Christmas song of all-time Type your email address... Read more »

The week in review: The midweek edition

Another day, another school shooting. This time at Santa Fe High School in Texas. This time ten are dead. It's the twenty second school shooting in 2018.
Usually I have to wait for the weekend to have a Week In Review. Not this week. There’s politics. There’s sex. There’s politics and sex combined. Here we go with the ridiculousness: Type your email address in the box and click the “create subscription” button. My list is completely spam free, and you can opt... Read more »

The week in review: People you should know

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/IxgfXKwhRwM" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Let's start with Republican strategist Steve Schmidt. Nicolle Wallace asked him a simple question about Mike Pence. The VP now has a new orifice. I need a dictionary every time I see Schmidt speak but it's so worth it.
Another week comes to an end. More nonsense with a couple sweet moments at the end to balance it out. Here’s some people that you should know about: Type your email address in the box and click the “create subscription” button. My list is completely spam free, and you can opt out at any time.... This week in racism

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/k_SGz4aPP3w" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Let's start with this video from a fraternity at Syracuse University. These guys hit on every group....blacks, Jews, women, LGBTQ...a grand slam of prejudice. Here's what I never understand about this crap...videos like this surface on college campuses a few times a year. The dudes doing this always get caught, the fraternity gets banned and the students are suspended or expelled. It never fails to go down this way. So why does this keep occurring? Plus, this was a fraternity of engineering students. These guys are supposedly bright enough to become engineers. Not anymore. How could not a single one of them not realize this wasn't a good idea and stop it? Idiots!
It’s time for another edition of The Week in Review. This week we’re going to focus on racism. I know we can do that every week but this week seemed to be especially bad. Here’s a peek: Type your email address in the box and click the “create subscription” button. My list is completely spam... Read more »

The week in review: The old privileged white guy in Portland edition

Let us start at Starbucks. We all know the story of the two black men being arrested in Philadelphia. I can't count the times I've been to Starbucks to do things like using the wi-fi to write this blog, read or use the bathroom...without buying anything..and never being asked a single question. Is it because I'm a 60ish year old white man? Pffft...what do you think?! Starbucks will be closing all their stores for an afternoon to conduct a diversity training class. Good start! Maybe they should do it monthly until they get it right? Maybe! Maybe they should just treat everyone equally with respect. DUH!!
It’s time to look at the events of this past week. Highlights include racism, privilege, our President and his lackey plus a trip to Portland, Oregon. Let’s have a look, shall we? The weekend in review: The Final Four/Easter edition

The fifteen minutes of fame for Loyola's Sister Jean is over. Looks like Michigan's 100 year old grandmother of former player Jalen Rose took her down. The good news for the 98 year old nun is the day after the Final Four loss, was Easter, so she could hang out with her main dude.
WOW! What a weekend! So much news. So much dysfunction! Usually it takes a week to get enough material to write one of these. Not this time. So let’s have a peek OY!!! Howard Moore

My so called friends think it's time to edit this section. After four years, they may be right, but don't tell them that. I'll deny it until they die! I can't believe I've been writing this blog for four years. It started as a health/wellness thing and over the years has morphed to include so many things that I don't know how to describe it anymore. I really thought this was going to be the final year of the blog but then Donald Trump came along. It looks like we're good for four more years..God help us all! Oh yeah...the biographical stuff. I'm not 60 anymore. The rest you can read about in the blog.
