Yesterday morning, I’m watching Andrea Mitchell Reports on MSNBC. The A-block comes to an end (How cool am I to know that the first segment is called the A-block?) and Andrea thanks her guests for being available “On a busy news day.” I look at my tv and say loudly…okay, I’m actually shouting…”When the fuck isn’t... Remembrances of Stan Mikita
The heroes you make when you are young are the best. They get you interested in an activity that you’ll love throughout your life. It could be sports, music, politics, art, entertainment or whatever; you’ll always remember fondly the ones you idolized when you were a child. I first found hockey in 1961. I was... Read more »

I'm On A Staycation

Sunday, November 1- Comedy night at Stage 773. Ten bucks to watch ChicagoNow's own Patrick O'Hara MC a comedy competition. It was a bonus that his fiancee Crystal spilled wine on my shirt. Another bonus is I could walk there and back. Good value.
I’m Down. I’m really down. I’m Down. Down on the ground. How can you laugh when you know I’m down? How can you laugh…when you know I’m down? You’re thinking this is going to be one of those sad, whoa is me pieces about Depression. Nope…not today. I admit the last month or so, I’ve... Read more »

Corey Crawford said Fuck

Corey Crawford said Fuck
There was a shocking moment at the Chicago Blackhawk championship celebration yesterday. Their Goalie Corey Crawford dropped a couple of  ‘F-bombs’. Howard Moore

My so called friends think it's time to edit this section. After four years, they may be right, but don't tell them that. I'll deny it until they die! I can't believe I've been writing this blog for four years. It started as a health/wellness thing and over the years has morphed to include so many things that I don't know how to describe it anymore. I really thought this was going to be the final year of the blog but then Donald Trump came along. It looks like we're good for four more years..God help us all! Oh yeah...the biographical stuff. I'm not 60 anymore. The rest you can read about in the blog.
