We need more women in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: Here's ten deserving candidates

This week the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced their newest class. The 2020 inductees are five members. Only one of the five, Whitney Houston, is a woman. There were sixteen nominees and only three were women.

Last year, Janet Jackson was elected. In her speech, she mentioned that Hall needs to have more women represented. She was right. Only eight per cent of the Hall’s inductees are women.

There are many women worthy of inclusion into the Hall of Fame. Here’s a look at ten artists and bands:

So R&R HoF, there’s plenty of women for you to choose from. If you need some more, how about Beth Hart, Valerie Simpson, Karen Carpenter, Alanis Morissette and the Indigo Girls? I can go on….do your job!

My so called friends think it's time to edit this section. After four years, they may be right, but don't tell them that. I'll deny it until they die! I can't believe I've been writing this blog for four years. It started as a health/wellness thing and over the years has morphed to include so many things that I don't know how to describe it anymore. I really thought this was going to be the final year of the blog but then Donald Trump came along. It looks like we're good for four more years..God help us all! Oh yeah...the biographical stuff. I'm not 60 anymore. The rest you can read about in the blog.
