Another opening day, another Spring

Another opening day, another Spring

Little darling, it’s been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it’s been here
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It’s all right

It really was a long cold winter. You haven’t forgotten the Polar Vortex, have you? But, here’s some good news. Baseball is back TODAY!!

It feels like a rite of passage. Out with the old season, in with the new. There’s something about opening day of the baseball season that makes me feel good….makes me feel better….makes me feel optimistic. It has little to do with baseball.

Winter is replaced with Spring.
Cold is replaced by warmth.
Darkness is replaced by sunshine.
Dirty snow is replaced by cleansing rain.
Frowns are replaced by smiles.
Flowers are blooming.

Like the baseball teams we cheer for, we get a fresh start. Our records are 0-0, and the possibilities are endless. As the band Chicago once sang, “Only the beginning. Only just the start.”

Happy opening day. Happy Spring.

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it’s been here
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It’s all right

My so called friends think it's time to edit this section. After four years, they may be right, but don't tell them that. I'll deny it until they die! I can't believe I've been writing this blog for four years. It started as a health/wellness thing and over the years has morphed to include so many things that I don't know how to describe it anymore. I really thought this was going to be the final year of the blog but then Donald Trump came along. It looks like we're good for four more years..God help us all! Oh yeah...the biographical stuff. I'm not 60 anymore. The rest you can read about in the blog.
