What happens in Vegas......

I made my first trip to Las Vegas in the mid-1970’s. I was 25 or 26 years old. It truly was one of those What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas trips. I still can’t talk about some of the stuff that went down on that four day vacation. It was bad…real bad!

I’ve been to Las Vegas maybe twenty times since then. I lived in the Los Angeles area for almost fifteen years. It was easy to get there in the olden days. You could find a cheap flight out of LAX almost hourly. A few times, I left for Vegas in the morning and was home by bedtime…although it was a late bedtime.

It’s been a long time since my last trip to Las Vegas. Family, jobs, money and distance get in the way. I’m pretty sure it was Thanksgiving 1991. It was so long ago that my oldest was only one year old and my youngest wasn’t yet born. They’re now adults and the one who wasn’t there is married.

It was time for a triumphant return.

Hanging out with old friends is the best. But after four days in Nevada, I’m pretty sure old is the operative word.

Have a look…..

That’s what happened or really what didn’t happen in Vegas. For this trip, no need to make sure it stays in Las Vegas.

Here’s the story of my trip to Los Angeles on Spirit Airlines. Spoiler alert…I’m still alive.

Every five years or so I decide to update this section. I can't believe I've been doing this for close to ten years. The last time I did this I was close to sixty years old. Now I'm just a few months away from the big 7-ZERO. Scary AF!!! I'm pretty sure I won't be doing an update when I hit 80, but you never know. But until then, lets just be grateful.
