Lollapalooza 2015: Day One Choices

Lollapalooza 2015 hits Chicago’s Grant Park this weekend. Lots of music. Lots of sun. Lots of people with about 300, 000 expected! As Max Yasgur said at Woodstock “It’s three days of fun and music and nothing but fun and music.”

There are fifty performers playing on opening day so here are recommendation with my favorites in the gallery.

My blogger, music photog friend, Jamie Bernstein recommends seeing, Hot Chip, The War on Drugs, First Aid Kit and The Weekend. A couple of others not in my gallery are The School of Rock Allstars (always cute to see new budding musicians) and  Jamestown Revival.

Here are four performers I’d be seeing on day one of Lollapalooza.

Here’s a review I wrote about a St Paul and the Broken Bones show from last fall. And here’s one from last summers Paul McCartney concert at the United Center.

Every five years or so I decide to update this section. I can't believe I've been doing this for close to ten years. The last time I did this I was close to sixty years old. Now I'm just a few months away from the big 7-ZERO. Scary AF!!! I'm pretty sure I won't be doing an update when I hit 80, but you never know. But until then, lets just be grateful.
