Joss Stone: Barefoot and Soulful

jossstone1 The summer concert season is coming to an end, especially in the midwest.

On a cold and damp Wednesday night, Joss Stone warmed up the crowd. She put on a spectacular show at Ravinia, in north subrban Highland Park, Illinois.

Besides her voice, which I heard one person compare to Judy Garland, she immediately establishes rapport with the audience. She has almost a waif-like quality about her.

Between songs she’s always talking to the crowd. You can feel her flirting with you. It draws you in…brings you closer to her.

jossstone2 Then she jumps down off the stage and starts dancing with the audience. It’s sweet and child-like. How can you not love this woman?

And then there are the songs. So full of love and love lost. She sells them so well that you can picture her living them. It’s hard to believe she’s only 27 years old.

Other than it being a brutally cold night, the 90 minutes went by fast and left you wanting more. She has a lot of music left in her. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Sunday…a look at Joss’s career in pictures and song.

My so called friends think it's time to edit this section. After four years, they may be right, but don't tell them that. I'll deny it until they die! I can't believe I've been writing this blog for four years. It started as a health/wellness thing and over the years has morphed to include so many things that I don't know how to describe it anymore. I really thought this was going to be the final year of the blog but then Donald Trump came along. It looks like we're good for four more years..God help us all! Oh yeah...the biographical stuff. I'm not 60 anymore. The rest you can read about in the blog.
