Wine Bar Review: Vintage 338

Wine Bar Review: Vintage 338

Specializing in French, Spanish, and Italian wines and food, Vintage 338, 338 W Armitage, is definitely worth a stop or two this winter. We went for dinner and a few glasses of wine before the holidays, after some friends recommended it–and we weren’t disappointed.

It doesn’t get much better than French, Spanish, and Italian in terms of wine. We enjoyed everything we tried. The Spanish wines were particularly good–easy to drink and fruit forward

Make sure you try the “Speciality Platters,” with meats and cheeses. We tried the Spanish one–just look at the picture below and you’ll know why it’s a must. The food is served European style, in small portions; so, if you’re hungry, you can order several small plates to share.

Vintage 338 has a classy, upscale feel to it; we wished it was more rustic like the wines and food it’s presenting. But that’s our prefered wine-bar style.

  • The best thing about moving back to Chicago after so long is that there are so many nice little places to discover. Will have to add this one to the rapidly growing list!
