Movie Essentials: Leslie Nielsen

On Sunday, November 28, 2010, the film world lost one of its great comedic actors when Leslie Nielsen passed away at the age of 84.  Born in Canada, Nielsen started off his acting career beginning with television in 1948 – two years later, he had logged over 50 appearances.  Films followed, and though he took more serious roles in many of them, it wasn’t until Airplane! in 1980 that he found his true calling.  For the better part of the next three decades, Nielsen would star in one comedy after another – some better than others, many quite terrible – but Nielsen was always a saving grace.  He ultimately appeared in 100+ movies over the course of his career.  Here are his Essentials:
