Opportunities to share my weight loss story
Some people feel the topic of weight loss is something you shouldn’t talk about or boast about. I feel that if I don’t share my story then someone wont be inspired to start their own story. Sharing my story has helped me to stay focused on my goals. All in all, I enjoy opportunities to share my weight loss story.
In June, I went to the conference called Fitbloggin and I was able to meet awesome fitness, food, wellness, weight loss, and healthy bloggers. I was a live blogger for a session titled “Dealing with Sensitive Topics” hosted by Jennifer Mitchell and Lena Burkutt. Since I live blogged the session, I was granted the conference for free. This was a wonderful opportunity for me and I embraced every moment.
Within this session, we were able to discuss how we feel if no one responds to our blog topics. A great “take away” thought: No one responding to your blog post does not mean that someone is not touched with your topic. If you don’t discuss it then no one will feel that they can relate to you. Having opportunities to share my weight loss story opens up chances for me to spark a new beginning for someone.
Jennifer Mitchell from ComeBack Mama Blog emailed me to see if I would be interested in telling my story on her site. I was honored and of course said yes because I love opportunities to share my weight loss story. I wasn’t able to get back to her right away because I was moving, separating from my husband, and searching for work. Please check out my featured story on her blog and make sure you like her facebook fan page too.
Starting this week Weight Watchers is having a Believe topic focus and success week. At Weight Watchers meetings across the country different members will be sharing their story. My leader asked if I would share my story on Saturday, September 14 at 9:45am I would like to invite you all out to my other opportunity to share my story at the 9:45am Weight Watcherss meeting at First Presbyterian Church of Dupage located at 180 N. Weber Road • Bolingbrook, IL 60440
My Weight Watchers Leader gave me a questionnaire to use for an outline for me sharing my story. She stated I have 10 minutes to share. Here are the questions that I have to ponder this week before Saturday: How did you feel before you joined Weight Watchers? What helped you believe you could succeed? What did you accomplish once you started believing success was possible? How do you keep nurturing that belief so it stays strong?
I will answer those questions on Gwynspiration for Weight Loss after my Saturday event. I sure hope some of you are able to come to hear me. I would be delighted.
