The Healthy Habits 3 month Challenge is now in its 4th week and going strong with 80 challengers. This week’s healthy habits mini challenge is to pre-prep fruits, veggies, and meats for the week. That means to take time to cut up fruits and veggies so they are quickly accessible. Also taking the time to cook all the meat for the week and portioning them out.
When food is ready to go in the refrigerator, it makes the meal planning easier and less stressful. I find that when I have cantaloupe or broccoli cut up in containers, I reach for that instead of chips or candy. This healthy habits mini challenge is prefect for my week because I will be starting a full time School Social Work job Monday thru Friday. My world will be on the go but I need to structure my environment so I stay on track with healthy habits.
I wanted to share what awesome things that have been taking place with different Healthy Habits Challengers dealing with this challenge. These challengers have been motivating me as much as I motivate them. We have become such a great support group for healthy habits.
Since I cooked up my chicken, cut up fruit, and diced veggies, it made planning different meals easier for the week. I just had to look in my frig to see what I had left and wrote down what I was planning on eating. It was easier to call my husband at home to start heating up the meal for dinner. In the past, I would call my husband while I was driving home say I don’t know what I want, what’s in the frig, cook what you can. This way I stay on plan and it’s less stress.
