Healthy Habits Challenge
I’m excited to announce the first time ever Gwynspiration Healthy Habits Challenge that will last 5 weeks starting Sunday, February 10 until Saturday, March 16, 2013. I would like to thank Brooke for her guidance and inspiration for this challenge. I participated in her Skinny Snowman Challenge and really enjoyed it. If you started a New Year New You but fizzled out due to Super Bowl munchies or it was a well intended plan that never started, this Healthy Habits Challenge is for you. If you just want a chance to get support for a healthy lifestyle, then this Healthy Habits Challenge is for you. There is no cost to join. You have to complete the 5 weeks to win a prize. It’s only for 5 weeks, so if you don’t like it, then there is no obligation to continue. I sure hope you will like it, so you can discover the New You that you deserve to be that. Email me your name, twitter and blog (if you have one but not required. I sure hope you have a name, lol) at firstname.lastname@example.org that your interested in doing the challenge. I will reply back with your participant number, progress data sheet link, and private Gwynspiration Healthy Habits Facebook support group invite.
What will I have to do?
Print out the point chart and keep track of your points for each task.

Saturday of each week by 9pm Central time email me your points total and complete the weekly progress data sheet. In order to qualify for a prize you have to complete all 5 weeks of the challenge and be the top 3 people with the most points.
Here are the tasks that are on the points sheets:
In order to form healthy habits you have to practice them. The most important healthy habit to start on a solid lifesyle change is tracking or journaling your foods. I personally use Weight Watchers’ tracker. I know there are free apps for I-phone or Smartphone users. I have heard of the free site My Fitness Pal and Spark People.
Lose weight or maintain weekly: Of course you hope to lose weight each week but maintaining is sure not gaining.
Eat 5-6 Servings of Fruit/ Veggie daily: try new recipes to get in all your servings of fruit and veggies and to keep things interesting. Try to have a balance. Eating too many fruits will add up your sugar count.
Say positive daily affirmation and post as a reminder: having a positive frame of mind through out the day will help you to exceed your goals.
Drink 64 fl oz of water daily: Water is essential and important to support weight loss. 1 cup of water = 8 fl oz of water.
Complete the mini challenge each week: each week is different: prep your food, be less efficient day for activity, fun fitness, pack a healthy snack, write your future success story.
Complete at least 20 minutes of activity each week: You have to start some where and small goals are wise when your first starting out. If your already in the habit of working out then this part will be simple for you.
Please join the Gwynspiration Healthy Habits Challenge so we can learn from and cheer each other on. You have until Saturday, February 9th at 6pm Central time to email me you want to join. Please tell your friends, neighbors, and co-workers about this challenge. I’m excited to get this going and hope you decide to join us.
