Starting this week, high intensity interval bootcamp boosts weight loss for six brides in Chicago. Yesterday I had a chance to launch a new Bridal Bootcamp on the Steve Harvey show. The goal: achieve a healthy amount of weight loss and feel great by the time they walk down the aisle. I’m teaming up with “Hungry Girl,” Lisa Lillien to get these women into great shape.
These women have committed to meet with me once a week for the next couple months for a two-hour workout at Chicago’s Cocoon Care. The words “high intensity” often intimidate a lot of people, but in reality, each of these brides-to-be will push themselves to their specific limits. None of the workouts are easy, but they do get great results. Not only will these women lose weight, but they’ll feel great, too.
Why Does High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)Work?
- Fat Loss: Research has shown that HIIT kicks fat loss, particularly through the belly area and hips, into high gear.
- Blood Sugar Regulation: HIIT also helps to balance out uneven blood sugar levels. When insulin is under control, weight loss is much, much easier to manage.
- Increases Lean Muscle Mass Boosting Overall Metabolism: Unlike slow and steady cardio, HIIT actually develops muscle as it diminishes fat, creating a lean, healthy body.
- It’s Not Boring: Boredom is one of the main reasons people experience workout burnout. HIIT might be a challenge, but it’s anything but boring. In fact, most people think it’s a lot of fun.
