Con Alt Delete 2013 Recap: I Wasn't There, BUT...

Last weekend, a brand new convention was born.  Con Alt Delete (formerly Domo Con) is a fledgling anime con run by the folks behind Anime Midwest.  It was, unfortunately, the first event to fall prey to my wedding planning; I was unable to attend.  Thankfully, Geek Girl Jess- trusty photographer and friend- was on the scene Saturday!

Jess described Con Alt Delete as “small overall, dominated by younger anime fans.”  The people attending Kollision Con and Anime Midwest are the same folks at Con Alt Delete.  The Maid Cafe was probably the most popular event.  In terms of costumes, special guest Little Kuriboh brought out the Yu-Gi-Oh! cosplayers.  Legend of Zelda, Homestuck, and Attack on Titan groups were close behind in numbers.

Word on the floor was that a 50-dollar price tag was difficult to afford during the holiday season.  However, those that attended found a great place to hang out with friends.

Here are Geek Girl Chicago‘s photos.  You know the drill- if you see yourself, show yourself!  Readers who lurk are boring.
