White Sox Minor League Recap 6/22/2016: Great Falls keeps raking

Durham 6, Charlotte 4

Anthony Ranaudo turned in another stellar start by only allowing one run in five innings, while striking out three versus two walks. One has to imagine that with James Shields‘ struggles, Ranaudo could be knocking on the door for a spot starter for Shields to figure out what’s going on. Blake Smith got the blown save and Will Lamb let open the floodgates by giving up three runs in 1.1 innings of work.

Jerry Sands carried the team offensively, going 2-4 with two home runs and two RBIs.

DSL D-Backs 6, DSL White Sox 3

DSL D-Backs 2, DSL White Sox 1

The DSL team was swept in a double header.

Great Falls 10, Missoula 4

Everyone that had an at-bat for Great Falls other than Jackson Glines recorded a hit last night. Anthony Villa, Jameson Fischer, Brady Conlan and Casey Schroeder all notched at least one double (Schroeder had two). Corey Zangari launched another home run while going 2-5. Mitch Roman was 2-4 with three RBIs.

Max Beatty had a blistering six innings as he struck out nine batters while only allowing two runs. Lane Hobbs threw two scoreless innings while Jaider Rocha gave up one run in his inning of work.

AZL Mariners 10, AZL White Sox 2

Johan Quijada was knocked around, allowing six runs in three innings, though Zack Burdi had a scoreless, one-hit debut, with his fastball reaching 100 and his changeup reaching 92.

On offense Micker Adolfo, Hanleth Otano, Trevin Sonnier, Ylexander Villarroel and Amado Nunez all recorded singles, the only offense the team could muster.
