Former first round pick Jared Mitchell has moved into the leadoff spot since his demotion to AA and today he responded by getting on base three times, maybe the demotion woke him up? Rangel Ravelo continued his breakout season by getting on base four times. Meanwhile Kevan Smith may be eyeing a promotion by going 2-4 in wake of Josh Phegley’s supposed benching.

DH Gesel Dalmasi reached based four times and LF Hanleth Otano hit two doubles, though the DSL White Sox simply couldn’t string together their hits into RBIs.

Great Falls 6, Billings 5

Ryan Leonards 4-5, 3B, R, RBI, K
Zach Fisher 1-5, RBI, K
Zach Fish 1-4, R
Louie Lechich 1-4, R
Jackson Laumann 2-4, HR, 3 RBI, K
Jake Peter 3-4, 2B
Jace Fry 1.1 IP, 2 H

Great Falls won in walk off fashion with Zach Fisher, not to be confused with 2014 draft pick and teammate Zach Fish, driving in Ryan Leonards to win the game. Speaking of Leonards the 2014 draft pick had a great night at the plate with four hits. Fellow 2014 draft pick Jake Peter went 3-4 while the other draftees at Great Falls, Louie Lechich and Zach Fish, each had a hit of their own. 2014 3rd round pick Jace Fry picked up the win in relief.

Star of the Day: 2014 21st round draft pick Ryan Leonards had a great day by getting four hits including a triple, picking up an RBI, and scoring the walk-off run for the Voyagers. The infielder out of the University of Louisiana – Lafayette has come out the gate roaring to the tune of a .421 average.

Who is Hot: Birmingham first baseman Rangel Ravelo continues to rake having hit .385/.432/.667 over his last 10 games with 9 RBIs. Currently blocked by Dan Black and Andy Wilkins at AAA, Ravelo will need to start to display some power to compliment his emerging hit tool.
