6/11/2014 Recap: Barons win on rain soaked day

All the affiliates aside from Birmingham were either off or rained out. The Barons won 4-2 and knocked out 11 hits in the contest. Every Baron’s hitter collected a base hit in the win except for Trayce Thompson.

Rangel Ravelo and Kevan Smith have been anchoring the Barons lineup all year and tonight was no different. The duo combined to go 4-8 tonight. Nick McCully didn’t miss many bats, but he held the Biscuits to two runs and scattered seven hits and two walks. Jarrett Casey and Brandon Hardin, two recently promoted bullpen arms, combined to keep Montgomery scoreless for the last 2.2 innings.
