5/9/14 Recap: Leesman dazzles

The Intimidator’s game was suspended by fog, the Dash were blanked, but the Barons and Knights won in impressive fashion. A note on the Intimidators game, it was suspended in the 4th inning, but it will not count as it did not go official. The game will not be made up because the two teams do not play again this year.

Star of the Day: Charlie Leesman has had a long road, but the veteran lefty pitched brilliantly tonight, striking out nine and not allowing a single run over eight strong innings.

Who is Hot: Carlos Sanchez has reached base in twenty five straight games, with three walks tonight his OBP is up to .366 on the season. Jeffrey Wendelken struck out ten batters tonight over six innings of work. Micah Johnson went 2-4 with two doubles and a walk.

Who is Not: Put a fork in Mitchell Boggs, he only lasted a third of a inning, giving up three earned runs. Keon Barnum went 0-4 with two more strikeouts. His average is down to .167 and he has struck out forty nine times on the season.
