Star of the Day: Jeffrey Wendelken spun seven scoreless innings tonight, striking out four and only allowing three hits. The strong start broke a streak a few rough outings for Wendelken, who owns a nice 42 to 8 K/BB ratio.

Who is Hot: Keon Barnum had a great night, going 2-3 with a double and walk. Micah Johnson also went 2-3 with a double and walk. Kannapolis outfielder Jacob Morris went…you guessed it, 2-3 with a double a walk.
