  • Alright let's see...

Who would I like the WS to pick? : The answer for me is Alex Wimmers. A former Buckeye myself, I would love to see this two-time All-American don the White Sox (and Intimidators :)) threads. He threw a no-hitter against Michigan!

Who Do I Think they'll pick? : It's going to be a college pitcher, I think we all are set on expecting that. They'll pick a guy with a great track-record, someone who's advanced and looking to sign quick and make an impact...There are a number of possibilities here, my gut tells me they wont take Wimmers at 13...Maybe a guy like Wojciechowski...but my official guess will be Texas standout Brandon Workman, a 3rd round pick in 2007 by the Phillies.

Is Harper overrated?: Absolutely not, he's the big story and you cant blame people for covering it. All he has done is hit 400+ in a wood bat college league at 17 and put up ridiculous HR numbers...He's worth the 15m because the Nats would make that back in ticket sales easily if he makes the bigs in 3-4 years. I'd lock him up, maybe move him to a corner OF position because the Nats have a great catcher in Derrick Norris and see if they cant pull off something like the Rays did.

  • In reply to Intimidators:

I'm hoping for McGuire or Wojciechowski out of the names that have been thrown around. Grandal was my top choice, but rightfully he won't slip to the Sox. It doesn't look like a great draft, but you never know.
