Why do you want to get healthy?
Why do you want to lose weight?
Why do you want to get stronger?
Have you ever really looked at your reasons for doing things? Any time that we set goals in life it’s important to know why we are setting those goals.
Maybe your goal is to lose weight. Why do you want to lose weight? Maybe it’s because:
1.) You want to wear a smaller size jeans.
2.) You want to have more energy to play with your kids.
3.) You want to love what you see in the mirror even more so (I say “even more so” because I hope that you already love yourself).
4.) You want to look good in a bikini (or a Speedo… guys? Haha).
What it comes down to is that if you don’t know WHY you are doing something, and WHY you are setting goals, then you will be less likely to accomplish those goals. It’s kinda like going shopping without a list… if you don’t know why you are there, you will just wander aimlessly and leave without having accomplished anything (and probably having gotten stuff that you didn’t want or really need).
So, if you have GOALS, then this is what I want you to do:
A.) Get out a pencil and paper.
B.) Write down your GOALS.
C.) Write down your WHYs.
That way, whenever you feel yourself starting to waiver on those goals, you can look back at your reasons WHY you want to accomplish those goals. Let your WHY drive you to success!
