Chris Rolfe did not participate in training this morning due to the ankle injury suffered last Thursday.  His status for the Seattle match this weekend is still up in the air but it doesn’t sound good.  “We’ll see.  He’s day by day and he’s not out here.  He doesn’t have any swelling but there’s still... Fire 3 - Chivas USA 2: Late Comeback Gives Fire 3 Points

Well, I can’t say I saw that one coming.  After 89 minutes of play in a game full of twists, turns, penalty kicks, yellow cards (and, gasp, even a red!) the Chicago Fire’s 10-game unbeaten streak looked to be coming to a close.  League leaders Chivas USA were up 2-1 and (although they were down... Soumare, Nyarko, and Husidic -- Profiling their paths to MLS

Thought I’d share a piece that Maria Burns Ortiz wrote for Soccernet about Fire players Bakary Soumare, Patrick Nyarko and Baggio Husidic.   Although it’s a bit old, the article does a pretty good job of providing some info about these players’ remarkable rise from adversity/obscurity to the MLS.  I found the write-up on Baggio Husidic...
