Fire, Crew draw 1-1

Przemyslaw Frankowski’s 94th minute goal save a point for the Fire in Columbus. With the Fire pushing for an equalizer and clinging to faint playoff hopes, Djordje Mihailovic played a ball on the left side of the box to Aleksandar Katai, who moved in closer before finding Frankowski open on the opposite side for a one-time finish past Crew goalkeeper Eloy Room.

Columbus had been riding a 27th minute long distance score by Pedro Santos. His left-footed attempt from about 24 yards out beat a diving Kenneth Kronholm to his right.

The Fire remain four points out of the seventh spot in the East with just four games remaining on the season.
