Fire, DC play to scoreless draw

The Fire dropped to 11th place in the Eastern Conference, nine points out of the final playoff spot after a 0-0 draw at home against DC United. As has been the case all season, the Fire didn’t play badly but were not good enough overall, particularly in the final third. Both teams struggled to generate much offensively.

Jonathan Bornstein made his Fire debut as the team played without Aleksandar Katai, Djordje Mihailovic, and Fabian Herbers due to injury.
