Fire end season with 0-0 draw

The Fire and DC United played to a 0-0 to draw at a cold and rainy Toyota Park to cap the home team’s 2018 season. Chicago had the better chances, particularly in the first half but neither they nor DC, who were still playing for playoff positioning, were able to finish one of the few clear opportunities. Both teams combined for three shots on target.

For the Fire, it’s the end to another disappointing season. Their 8-18-8 record and 32 points is the third lowest total for one season in club history behind 30 points in 2016 and 31 points in 2016.

Another offseason of change surely lies ahead.
