Real Madrid defeated the MLS All-Stars on penalty kicks last night. Bastian Schweinsteiger and Johan Kappelhof started and played the first half. Dax McCarty and Nemanja Nikolic came on for the second half. McCarty played a pivotal part in MLS’ tying goal but the Fire’s focus is now back on facing New England at Toyota Park on Saturday.
The match preview is coming up, but in the meantime here’s an excellent photo gallery from our guy, Sean King.

Guillermo, if you were a betting man, would you put $100 on Accam leaving this summer? TIA
I'd place that bet for $100
Big props to MLS for outfitting our boys in a salute to the iconic '94 kit (including those old school menacing keeper sets) and Soldier Field hosting the Opening Ceremonies and game #1. Still have my ticket stubs from all 5 games played here framed on my office wall.
As for the game, meh, what can you expect from a thrown together team versus a machine that lives and trains together 24/7. Lucky to escape the first 45 at nil, and well done Timmy H for the clean sheet, overall an enjoyable 90 to watch
And lets have a pleasant diversion with the above mentioned US kits. What , in your opinion is the best US kit? For me, that denim 94 is just special, it says I'm nobody and I'm here, watch me take on Brazil down to the wire. The 2014 white collared is total class, I always liked our boys in white jerseys.
1950. Long live the sash!
