Fire Confidential Live debuts Sunday

We’ve been looking to get on a more structured schedule with the Fire Confidential Podcast and now we’ll have a new platform to discuss all things Chicago soccer related.

I’m happy to announce we’ll be partnering with Radio Vive and the Fire’s Spanish language radio play by play man Hernan Espinoza to bring you Fire Confidential Live, a weekly Sunday morning talk show featuring call-ins, guests, and your interaction in real time. Radio Vive is an online content provider with an eclectic and varied program line-up. Fire Confidential Live will be the station’s first weekend and English language program.

The show will air live from 10 to 11 AM every Sunday and will be available for download in podcast form shortly thereafter. It will also be available at U-Stream, Stitcher, i-Tunes, and NASN. You should also be able to watch/listen live here at Fire Confidential as well as catch the archived version on the right rail.

We’ll feature the basic format of the podcast with the added ability to take your calls live at 773-521-9254. In studio guests, player interviews, and more surprises are on the way.

  • In reply to Guillermo Rivera:

Will Andy spend "Run DMB" like money?

  • In reply to penapirata:

If that means Anangono/MacDonald money...then yes.

I wouldn't pay DP dollars for DMB in a position that is not a need.

  • No. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe he plays centerback. And he doesn't seem to me to be the defensive presence needed to steady the Fire backline enough to justify the probable cost.

  • In reply to Arklow:

"And he doesn't seem to me to be the defensive presence needed to steady the Fire backline..."

    Nor the USA's...

  • The Fire will play either the Pittsburgh Riverhounds or RWB Adria in round 4 of the USOC on June 18 at Toyota Park.

  • Mid week picks:

    DC 2 Houston 1
    Los Angeles 1 FCDallas 0

  • (I was same with the picks.)

After looking at the standings this morning, I'm getting that "outside-looking-in" feeling. Again. To me, Saturday qualifies as "must win" to prevent a we're-for-real-falling-out-of-the-playoff-race panic from settling in.

    I can't relive 2013 again. That's asking too much.
