would rather have seen nyarko be rewarded for his good play early this season, but i suppose most of conde's poor play has been during non-MLS games...and they probly needed defenders
Some good Fire disussion on MLSsoccer's Extra Time Radio

thanks for link - the audio clip had a lot of good info about castillo
plus for player not on the Fire, i love to watch le toux play. so i listened to the whole thing :)
I've been working on the possibility of a Fire Confidential live web call in show with Fire guests but I need some input from you guys on the days, times, and whether something like that would be of interest.
Hey GR, on a totally unrelated subject will the Fire be getting a third kit sometime this season?
I doubt it.
Conde has no business being in the All Star game. He has had a disappointing year but Ferriera and Angel deserve roster spots.
Well said.
Conde has had a very disappointing season so far.
Any ideas on 2nd and 3rd DPs, I don't think I have the pacitence to wait till January.
I have ideas but I don't think they're the same ones the Fire have. ;)
But seriously. I think they were going to bring in Blanco and Castillo but Irapuato overbid them for Blanco.
I don't think the Marquez rumors ever had much legs since it looks like he's headed for New York.
The Fire still have a chance to get Rafa Marquez...OOPS!! wait a minute, I meant Rafael Marquez Lugo from Morelia. ;) (sarcasm talk)
I wish he would participate in a Fire game.
Steven Appiah from Ghana - anyone know if he is still under contract? be a good central mid leader. he's gonna turn 30 this year, and has had a lot of injuries in his career, so maybe the big europe teams dont wanna take the chance with him anymore
He's been an MLS rumored target for a few years now. He signed with Bologna in 2009 and I think he has one year left on his deal.
Would the Freddie Ljungberg hold-out saga with the expected destination being New York put the Fire back in play for Marquez? Or do you think Ward returing to the line-up will be the jump-start the defense needs to return to last year's form?
I'm not sure what's going on with Ljungberg but the Marquez to New York stuff seems to be gaining more steam.
Ward will probably have to beat out Steve Kinney for playing time. I think Kinney's earned a serious look.
Riquelme would be cool, but it sounds like he may be going to England. Caneo or Seedorf would also be good additions.

Chicago, which acquired Mexican forward Nery Castillo last week, is on the verge of another signing. Details to come.
Maybe this will jolt him out of his recent lethargy Or, maybe it will take bringing in a replacement
