Matthew Cassel of Al Jazeera English continues his exemplary work this morning with an article about Islamophobia across the U.S., including here in Chicago. Cassel, a graduate of Evanston Township High School, has covered the Middle East since 2003 as both a photographer and writer. While photography is his first love, his opinion writing and reporting direct from Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt, and other countries in the Middle East helps illuminate not just conflicts, but the nature of day-to-day life in these countries as well. An Eye On Chi salute to a Chicago journalist dedicated to bringing the world to Chicago.

Islam, like most organized religions, has a conflict with homosexuality. That "Tolerance" sign in the photo is full of hypocrisy.
