Like any other football night, I half watch the game because it’s really not my thing. I just like watching with my husband. But seeing Drew Brees become the NFL’s all time passing leader gave me hope and inspired me immensely. I wrote that it was his lifelong dream to do this but the reality is, I’m not certain that is true. As an athlete, I’m sure he just loved his sport, and like any true athlete, has a desire to win.
But to achieve something beyond your dreams is what moved me. It showed me that hard work and passion pays off.
I can’t tell you much about any player or team but I do enjoy watching history unfold and the power of hope it gives to us all. With the same spirit and determination as Drew Brees, I will continue to “play my game” and work my craft, knowing if I just stay in the game and do my best, I too will make my mark in history.
Congratulations Drew Brees!
