The Nourished Festival will be this coming Saturday and Sunday to Schaumburg, IL. Formerly the Gluten Free Expo, this show has everything a GFE (Gluten Free Eater) could possibly want. There are, of course, snacks and other foods to be sampled (YUM!). Depending upon your level of sensitivity to gluten there are even cosmetics and non-edibles to be found at the show. It’s a must for any GFE.
The show has expanded to include nut free, paleo, keto, and plant based products. Thus the name change. It’s a way more inclusive show.
I’ve been at a bunch of shows here in hometown Chicago these past few months, and have met many of the brands that will be at the Nourished Festival. Here are some of my faves to look forward to:
Made Good: Made good has truly healthy gluten free snacks. Spoiler alert…they now have bags of mini soft cookies, and have come out with totally awesomely delicious Caramel Treats!! The Caramel Treats are sort of like the traditional crispy rice and marshmallow treats, but gluten free and CARAMEL! I’m not sharing.
Banza: Banza pasta is my go-to pasta. They have tons of protein and other healthy ingredients. My nutritionist strongly recommended them to me and I’m all in. If you look on my Instagram photos you can see all my lunch photos of my culinary mastery with Banza pasta.
Blue Diamond: If your’e not nut allergic, Nut Thins are a great way to snack. Blue Diamond always gives away great snack bags!
Brianna’s Dressings: I’m a big fan of the Raspberry Vinaigrette. You can put it on nearly any salad to give it a fresh taste.
Kinnikinnick: Donuts. Nuf Said.
There are a LOT more vendors exhibiting at the show. Here is a link to the
