First, last week I posted about Spin to Break the Cycle and, as promised, here are the lucky winners!
Congrats, ladies! I will be in touch shortly to get you all set up.
Remember, even if you didn’t win the giveaway registration for Spin to Break the Cycle is open until February 28th and you have until the end of March to raise the minimum fundraising requirements.
Secondly, this past weekend I ran my annual February 5K race up in Round Lake, Illinois. Kim and I have been running this race together since we met each other and although I had to take 2012 off I was still there to cheer for her.
This race is currently my 5K PR (24:31) even though there are some significant Illinois hills on the course! So when I ran a 24:41 on Sunday (earning me second in my age group) Kim suggested that I might be in a good spot to try for a 5K PR pretty soon. So, of course I started looking at upcoming races. There is the Wacky 5K on March 9th but considering that is the day after a long training run for half marathon training AND Spin to Break the Cycle I don’t know if my legs would be cool with running a 5K PR.
So, what do you think? Try it or just leave well enough alone?
