For such a small car, you’d assume that the 2013 Fiat 500 Turbo would handle poorly in the snow. So, when the snow finally started to fall in Chicago this week, I cursed my luck that I had this car as a tester. Then I looked at it as an opportunity and took to my unplowed alley with glee. Granted we only had a couple inches, but even a couple inches of slushy, soupy black snow can provide plenty of problems in the wrong car. To my surprise and delight, I backed out of my snow-covered parking space without any difficulty and traversed the alley with only minor slippage.
I almost hope for more snow so I can test it further!
Because I have a hard time getting video and driving at the same time as a one-woman show, I figured I’d share with you a video that one of my Facebook followers posted to my wall (Thanks, Jenni!). It shows a dealership in Canada demonstrating how snowful this car really is.
