My name is David Kunert. I am a singer/songwriter, and have my own independent music promotion company, specializing in the contemporary jazz format. I was previously nominated for some national music business industry awards for my work in record promotion, and am also a writer and publisher member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.)
As a songwriter I have co-written songs that have been recorded by both independent and major label artists, and have also sung on releases that received airplay on radio stations here in the United States. I was formerly a member of the U.S. Navy Band, and graduated from the basic course of instruction at the Armed Forces School of Music, in Little Creek, VA.
I have been an athlete from an early age, and also have a history in the tennis business, working in sales for various tennis and squash equipment manufacturers. I am an active recreational tennis player, and my hobbies include bike-riding, bowling, watching movies, etc. I graduated from high school in York County, Virginia, and attended both Marquette University and De Anza College (Cupertino, CA). I live in the west suburbs of Chicago with my Wife Karen.
