LA, CA Furniture & Design Style

Back from LA for Thanksgiving week and a wonderful (extended) morning of prowling Interior Design Sources.  Since my first visit to The Pacific Design Center (PDC or “Big Blue” or “Blue Whale”) YEARS ago, I am, reminded once more that California has unique style and wonderful local sources and showrooms.  Here’s a pile of pictures from Brueton Furniture — representing a fabulous assortment of manufacturers, many of which are available in Chicago (just coming here:  Poet Furniture); Robert Kuo -what an amazing contemporary line ranging from furniture to amazing accessories (some also made for Baker); Mimi London -classic LA rustic/contemporary design; Anne Hauck Art Deco – mostly European antiques; Murray’s Iron Works – I LOVE this line: only through their rep in Chicago; and Country Floors —  an ultimate collection of tile and stone:  some lines shown in the Chicago area, and some only through their reps.
Enjoy!! I’ll photo more next time! I could have done this for at least another whole day.  Unlike Chicago’s River North area for nearly all showrooms, LA has Design showrooms scattered in several clusters and it goes on and on (like in NYC).  Perfect!  I can browse new areas when I return in the spring!
