I’ve been mostly absent from these pages for a month or so because I had a tight deadline for ghostwriting two books and other freelance work. Now I’ve got time again to post on ChicagoNow, hoping to return a conservative viewpoint to the liberal/left/far left tilt of these pages.
Not that a conservative viewpoint is needed. After all, look what’s happening on college campuses, where all kinds of devices–trigger warnings, safe spaces, speech codes, free speech zones and more–have been devised to not be bothered by any dissenting conservative views. Or when Kenya West steps off the plantation of required thought and speech. (No, I certainly don’t agree with his ramblings, including his belief that 400 years of slavery was some kind of “choice.)
Or at the Chicago dailies, where columns and op-eds generally tilt left. For a while, I was the only frequency scheduled neo-con column writer at either paper, but now there are now. Let me know if I’m wrong. I need to add balance to liberal views that I keep reading.
So, let’s have at it.
