2017 NBA Draft: Mid-January Mock Draft

We are now less than one month away from the 2017 NBA All-Star game, which will be held on Feb. 19 in New Orleans.

A few teams – Golden State, Clevelend, San Antonio – have their annual positions in the postseason almost already clinched, but the middle and bottom of the NBA is a mess. The quality of play across the league leaves a lot to be desired, and the number of fan bases who honestly feel their team has a shot at a championship is limited to maybe six.

With all of that pessimism in mind, the 2017 NBA Draft has a lot of eyes on it. There is a lot of good talent in the group, and plenty of size. Will there be another Durant or Westbrook in the names called this summer?

Let’s take a look at how the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft might play out.

  • Should be an exciting draft class. One thing: I believe the Lakers' pick, if it falls at 5, goes to the Sixers, not the Suns, due to the MCW trade.
