Cubs In Haiku: 3 Pitches, 1 Swing, 38 Losses

Cubs In Haiku: 3 Pitches, 1 Swing, 38 Losses

Three pitches, one swing
First loss for Casey Coleman
For Cubs – 38th

The frustration continues.

It was a pitcher’s duel when the Cubs finally took the lead on a Bryan LaHair 2-run homer in the 8th. But the Brewers tied it in the bottom of the 8th and won in a walk-off when Norichika Aoki swung at Casey Coleman’s third pitch and the ball ended up in the seats in right field – Aoki’s second homer of the day and only his third of the year.

That, my friends, is how the Cubs added a 38th game to the loss column – “on pace” to lose 108 this year.

Personally, I liked another three pitch performance much better.
