With Bill Leff and George Ofman
Went quite well, thank you.
They wanted “clever”
I didn’t have to be smart
Just as I had hoped
You didn’t hear it?
Well today’s your lucky day

Thanks to Bill Leff, Matt Mattucci, and all the folks at ChicagoNow Radio for a fun morning in the Showcase Studio at the Tribune Tower. Fortunately, they didn’t expect me to be smart – appropriately leaving that role to George Ofman and letting me do my haiku thing.
Back in the Green Room
I met Garrard McClendon
He’s a haiku fan
Garrard was on the show a couple of segments before me, and we met in the green room after he finished. I introduced myself and received a warm greeting from the CLTV host who is a fan of Chicago Sports In Haiku. (Note to Garrard – remember to send me that picture)
Steph Eats Chicago
Was also on today’s show
We chatted a while
Stephanie Callahan, who writes the “Stephanie Eats Chicago” blog, was on just before me, and we had a chance to talk while she waited to go to the studio. Even if, like me, you prefer eating to cooking, you’ll like her blog. Check it out.
