  • John,

Thanks, other than the Den, there's been zero coverage of Cubs ST other than the Pence incident.

  • In reply to VaCubFan:

Thanks Va. It is going to get even better in the years to come.

  • In reply to John Arguello:

Sounds like a poorly veiled attempt to make us jealous!

    In reply to VaCubFan:

Go check out Bleacher Nation, they've been covering action in Mesa quite well.

  • A great sign of things to come.....stay calm, just stay calm......

  • In reply to edubbs:

    Take deep breaths.

  • Yes sir!

Doesn't it seem like they have a ridiculous amount of pitchers in camp? They are going to lose so many when final cuts come. Phil Coke? Don't they already have like 5 guys that can do what he does? Lots of guys without options. Can the Cubs make a deal with a player they cut and want to send to the minors where the player can reject a waiver claim by another team because the Cubs sweetened the minor league contract? Also of all the places in the U.S. that your wife's company could send her - and it's Arizona - where the Cubs train! It's fate my man that you are destined to be the premier blogger of all things Cubbies!

  • In reply to Jim Pedigo:

Coke's stuff is much better than any LHRP they have with the possible exception of Britton. But Coke best combo of experience and stuff.

  • The future is now! It brings a smile to my face to see our young guys light up these spring games. I bet you're excited to be there in the years to come John!

  • Yes stay calm. One day I will tell you about the time I ended up
in the hospital while watching a Cubs game.

  • In reply to emartinezjr:

I think that is a story we need to hear.

Soler, Rizzo, Bryant, (and later Schwarber)
I see a lot of NL starting pitchers getting "sore arms" during pre-game warm ups and having to skip a start

  • Ab0ut 30 years ago they were playing a very bad throw away game.I
Was screening and going nuts. All of a sudden I could not move
any of my fingers. I was taken the hospital and told I had some
kind of anxiety attack. Never this this again

  • I hope the rumor is wrong. I don't want Jeff back. Not worth the money and length of contract.

  • In reply to emartinezjr:

I am sorry, e. Who is Jeff? thx.

  • In reply to rickmonday:

Believe he is referring to Samardzija.

  • In reply to John Arguello:

Thank you, Jon (!) and; I have to agree with e.

Happy dr seuss's birthday to all!

  • His stance reminds me of Dave Kingman's.

  • In reply to HefCA:

Reminds me of Kingman too... after he figured out he could hit a ball 500+ feet without striding.

  • That is a highlight we are going to get used to seeing for the next 15 years. .

  • Soler, Bryant, and even Almora now have very small "Load" weight shifts. Shift, toe-touch, mash! No big leg kick, keep it simple.
