I finally feel back to normal. On top of a hot race and overdoing it, I fought being sick all week. But I’m back and ready to go! Coach Jen and I chatted a bit yesterday, adjusting the plan for this week. I was home with K yesterday, for day 2 of fever-boogaloo. Thankfully she... Read more »

We’ve got a fine layer of snow on the ground after round 1, or the appetizer portion of this blizzard. I celebrated by registering for the 2011 Chicago Marathon at midnight last night! By how slow the website loaded, it seems many, many others did as well! I’ve been excited about this race since the... Read more »

I had forgotten how much hill repeats hurt. And my recollection of “the hill” had faded to the point where in my head it was a happy and fun place. As I turned off of Willow Road and started up the hill to park near the Willowhill Golf Course club house, everything came rushing back…this... Read more »

Thursday morning I had the first Start! Running Team committee... Read more »

Holy crap, I'm busy...err something.
I’ve been quiet lately here on cubicle dad runs, lately. Part because I haven’t known what to blog about lately, part I’ve been really busy and part feeling run down/ bummed out/ wanting to quit. While I’ve felt like that a couple of times since the marathon, the past week or so has been the... Read more »
