The new plaza built outside the Loyola Red Line station will be abuzz with many summer activities this year, including a farmers market, musical performances and group fitness exercises.
They all will be a part of “Summer on the Plaza,” a new summer programming initiative sponsored by Loyola University in partnership with the CTA, the Rogers Park Business Alliance, the Sheridan Road Special Service Area and 49th Ward Alderman Joe Moore.
Here are a few of the scheduled activities:

Performances by a range of artists will be presented from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays. Scheduled to perform are magician Magister Freud and musical groups Blue Shag,
Pipetone, Pieptone, Lunar Moo, and the Urban Rhythm Band.
