CTA's Holiday Train to visit revelers on Orange and Brown lines this week

Kids of all ages will thrill to the sight of multi-colored Holiday Train pulling into Orange and Brown line station Thursday through Saturday.

Festivities start just after 3 p.m. Thursday at the Midway Orange Line station. Once the train hits the Loop it follows the Brown Line to Kimball, comes back into town and then makes its exit from the Loop on the Orange Line. Thursday’s detailed schedule.

On Friday, it follows the same route but shoves off from Midway at 3:53 p.m. Friday’s detailed schedule.

On Saturday, Santa and his helpers have a long shift, starting with photos with Santa from 11:30 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. at Midway on the Orange Line. Then it leaves Midway at 12:51 p.m. After it gets to Kimball on the Brown Line, the Santa photo opp runs from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. Santa then rides back through the Loop and on to Midway on the Orange Line.

After a short break, Santa and crew make another round trip run starting at 5:05 p.m. from Midway. Saturday’s detailed schedule.
