Repost: Details on Saturday's Tattler Holiday Train Meetup

Update: Details below on where will meet-up after the ride.

The CTA just released the schedule for this Saturday’s Holiday Train on the Orange and Brown lines.

So, the Second Annual CTA Tattler Holiday Train Meetup will commence at 1:24 pm Saturday when the train is scheduled to roll in to the Roosevelt station on the Orange Line. We’ll be waiting at the north end of the platform to board the first car. So look for me and others wearing CTA Tattler buttons. And I’ll be giving buttons to all participants.

The Holiday Train will then become a Brown Line train. We’ll travel north, hearing the oohs and ahs at station stops on the way to Western.

Update: At Western we will disembark and head to either the Brauhaus or Huettenbar, just down the street from the Brown Line Western station. And now there’s a groundswell of support for Grafton’s. Looks like it will be a game day decision. Follow me on Twitter for the Saturday updates.

I hope you will join us. Again, look for us on the first car. Join us at any point along the way.

  • I think I can make this. I'll go to Delilah's later in the day. I can catch a #11 Lincoln bus from whichever pub on Lincoln near Lawrence we select. (I recommend the Grafton. Which we didn't select some months ago.)

  • Brauhaus is way over rated. I wouldn't mind checking out the Grafton. Or we could hike all the way down to Jury's.

  • As a Lincoln Square girl, I HIGHLY recommend the Grafton. It's so warm and wonderful in the winter! If you like craft beers and great wine, stop in and commandeer the bar at Fiddlehead Cafe (Lincoln & Wilson).
Wish I could join you all, but I've got plans to hop on AT Western and take it downtown to the Mart.

    Have fun!!

  • Grafton has a fireplace and plenty of space for the Tattler faithful to spread out. Of course, we could sample all the Lincoln Ave has to offer. Hopefully there won't be a Santa infestation this year.

  • OK OK! Then Grafton it is.

  • I'm 83% positive you can count me in!
