Ghastly greetings from Count Gregula! I have some ghoul news for all my revolting readers and sinful subscribers to this blog. The BEAST time of year is here once again! So many fang-tastic fears and fall frights are already getting going this macabre month of sveet September.

Below is my annual deadly directory of a select few Chicagoland haunted happenings that offer some sinister scares, heinous horrors and terror treats. Be sure to check each individual site for exact times and dates of operation. I have everything categorized below. Have some fiendish fun getting frightened! V^^^V


The Unknown World of the Annual Paranormal Convention


I vas given the honor and invitation to be Master of Ceremonies at “The Unknown World of the Annual Paranormal Convention” at the Bridgeview Park District. Featuring several guest paranormal speakers, psychic mediums, palm readers, tarrot card readers, haunt vendors, artisans, authors, vorkshops, food trucks, a Resurrection Mary look-alike Contest as vell as the Hardcore Hearse Club. Plus, legendary TV horror host Svengoolie vill be signing autographs and posing for photos vith his fans from 3-5PM.

Located at the Bridgeview Park District at 8100 S. Beloit Ave. in Bridgeview, Illinois. The Unknown World of the Annual Paranormal Convention vill be happening on September 21, 2019 from 1-8PM. 13th Floor Chicago


The vorld-famous haunted house brand, 13th Floor, returns to the suburbs of Chicago this fall. 13th Floor Chicago is one of the Chicago area’s largest haunted houses featuring over 30,000 square feet of authentic movie-quality sets, animatronic monsters, special effects, and actors in every darkened corner. The sixth season of 13th Floor Chicago brings two new shows Creature Feature and The Other Side. In Creature Feature, the classic monsters of silver ‘screams’ hallowed past have laid dormant for decades inside an abandoned theater.
The second attraction, The Other Side, begins vith friends out riding bikes, looking for something to do before the streetlights come on. Vhile heading to the Quarry, one friend is suddenly missing. Vhere did he go? Did he vanish to The Other Side?

Located at 1940 George Street in Melrose Park, Illinois. 13th Floor Chicago opened to the public for shows beginning on Friday, September 13, 2019, and runs on select dates through November 9, 2019. Midnight Terror Haunted House


Midnight Terror Haunted House in Oak Lawn opens for its sixth season on September 27th. Now in its fourth straight year since 2016 at its larger location, Midnight Terror Haunted House has been ranked in several top 10 lists and visitor counts have increased. Creator/co-owner Justin Cerniuk runs Midnight Terror as a family rather than a corporation by allowing his actors creative freedom. They spent the past 10 months designing an entirely new layout vith all new rooms and every costumed character vas re-envisioned Every year Midnight Terror offers a great array of value-added promotions and discounts.

Located at 5520 W. 111th St., Oak Lawn, Illinois. Midnight Terror opens to the public for shows beginning on September 27, 2019, and runs on select dates through November 2, 2019. Evil Intentions Haunted House


In Elgin’s industrial section stands the abandoned home of Elgin Casket Company. This once proud building has been vitness to murder, grisly discoveries, cult activities, and unexplained occurrences, and a dark legacy has emerged from its sordid history. Evil Intentions Haunted House now takes up residence at this completely unique location and nothing else is like it in the state of Illinois. Be truly terrorized at this multi-level 55,000 square foot paranormal hot spot. The horrific haunt offers a hex-perience you vill never forget and macabre memories that vill give you nightmares for years to come.

Bengtson’s Pumpkin Fest


Bengtson Farm is a family owned and operated Pumpkin Festival that has served the Homer Glen area for over 38 years. The state’s most popular pumpkin patch and pumpkin farm. The pumpkin festival is located just 40 minutes outside of Chicago. Stay as long as you like and enjoy 9 unlimited rides EVERYDAY.

Jack’s Pumpkin Pop-Up


This interactive Pop-Up Experience returns to Chicago for a second season, Jack’s Pumpkin Pop-Up is located on over 2 acres in Goose Island. Jack’s Pumpkin Glow (formerly THE GLOW: A Pumpkin Wonderland), arrives in the suburbs of Chicago this October, providing the perfect festive fall activity for families, couples and young adults to capture picture-perfect memories. Over 5,000 hand-carved pumpkins and other glowing foliage vill illuminate the Sensory Garden Playground in Lisle on select dates in October, but one extra-special show on Sunday, October 6 vill be an especially sensory-friendly night deemed Autism Glows. Jack’s Pumpkin Glow will open a little earlier, at 6:30PM just before dusk, and the crowds vill be a little smaller, as only a limited amount of tickets vill be available.
