Guest Post: New playful teething toy born in Chicago

Written by POPPIES

Throughout the twentieth century, Chicago was an innovative leader in the toy industry, becoming the birthplace to many popular toys like Lincoln Logs and Tinkertoys to the iconic Radio Flyer red wagons and Beanie Babies. Today, there is a new toy brand, POPPIES Toys, rising in the Windy City on the crowd-funding site, Kickstarter.

POPPIES is a versatile teething toy that combines playful shapes, sensory textures, and entertaining sounds to soothe aching gums and stimulate development in babies. “POPPIES allows for endless creative play in younger children to aide in the child’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development,” explains Ross Bartels, creator of POPPIES. “We want to help make teething fun for every new family, so we created this campaign in order to raise the capital to bring this product to market.”

There are several fantastic rewards in the campaign which start at $25 for a limited edition early bird special. Other rewards include branded long sleeve shirts, long sleeve onesies, a printable milestone teething poster, a personalized thank you, and the incredible experiences in which POPPIES will professional photograph your child playing with the teether toy and will include your little girl’s or guy’s picture on the initial run of packaging!

Once POPPIES meets its funding goal on Kickstarter, the product will go into production. The first shipment of POPPIES is expected to occur in July of 2018.POPPIES Toys, rising in the Windy City on the crowd-funding site, Kickstarter.
