For the second-straight year, Chicago’s own Chance The Rapper and Jeremih are releasing a Christmas album. The 2017 edition will be a deluxe version of last year’s “Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama,” featuring “all the hits you know and love and some new ones too,” according to a teaser video posted to Chance’s social media channels.

According to Chance’s post on Instagram, Common and Lena Waithe, both Chicagoans, contributed to the project by playing “new drums on every track.”
“Big Kid Again,” “Down Wit Dat” and “Held It Down” are three songs listed in the teaser video that did not appear on the initial release of “Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama.”
Chance has plenty to celebrate as 2017 comes to a close. The 24-year-old was a headliner at Lollapalooza, hosted “Saturday Night Live” and continued to put his money where his mouth is when it comes to improving Chicago.
“Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama” is expected to be available on streaming services ahead of Christmas.
