Recall of Plum Organics baby food

Plum Organics has announced a baby food recall under a possible botulism contamination.

The company is recalling carrot and apple pouch food items. Although no illnesses have been reported, Plum Organics announced the voluntary product recall this morning, indicating the products did not meet safety standards.

On Plum Organics Twitter-stream, the company wrote this morning: “Please click here for important information regarding the voluntary recall of our Apple & Carrot baby food pouch:” offering concerned consumers a .pdf statement about the recall.
